How Upstaging Came To Life

Upstaging began with Jillian Summers, a single mom with a vision and relentless drive. With no budget, team, or backup plan, she used her own furniture, rented a van, and stored pieces in a locker she could barely afford. She staged dream homes in ice storms, sometimes staying overnight just to get the job done.

It wasn’t about recognition or money—it was about a love for the work and a belief in the impact staging can have. Over the years, her passion grew into a multi-award-winning company with a team that feels like family. Today, Upstaging is built on heart, grit, and a commitment to helping every client’s home shine.

    Jillian Summers is a multi-award-winning designer and home stager whose passion for creating stunning, functional spaces has led her to design homes across Canada and the Cayman Islands. She hosts Your Home with Jillian Summers, serves as designer for the Dream Lottery, and is dedicated to charitable causes like Alzheimer’s fundraising.
